What is ISO 22301 certification?
ISO 22301:2019 specifies requirements for a business continuity management system (BCMS). It helps organisations identify critical activities, assess disruptive risks, plan response and recovery arrangements, exercise those plans, and continually improve.
Its 2024 amendment addresses consideration of climate change in organisational context and interested-party requirements. ISO 22301 does not promise that disruption can be eliminated.

What is the current edition?
ISO 22301:2019 remains the published edition. Amendment 1:2024 introduced climate-action considerations. A revision is being developed.
How long does certification take?
The timeline depends on the maturity, scope and complexity of your business continuity management system, plus audit scheduling and closure of findings.
Does ISO 22301 guarantee uninterrupted operations?
No. Certification provides independent assurance that a management system meets specified requirements; it cannot eliminate disruption or guarantee recovery.
Can we transfer an existing certificate?
